Parent and Prospect Recruiting Seminar
The Summit Football Academy Parent and Coach Recruiting Seminar is a comprehensive, end-to-end overview of the college football recruiting process, designed to give families, athletes, and coaches a clear, honest understanding of how recruiting truly works. Led by a founder and director with more than 30 years of experience as a Division I defensive and offensive coordinator, assistant coach and Director of Recruiting, this seminar delivers insider knowledge rarely shared outside of college programs.
In this focused two-hour session, attendees gain a step-by-step breakdown of the recruiting journey, from early identification through scholarship opportunities and final decisions. The seminar explains how prospects are evaluated at every level, what recruiting rankings and star systems actually mean, and what college coaches and recruiting personnel prioritize when identifying and offering athletes.
Participants will also learn how to navigate the recruiting calendar, including NCAA contact, evaluation, quiet, and dead periods, and how to maximize exposure through camps, combines, and strategic communication. The seminar provides clarity on key academic requirements such as core courses, GPA standards, and eligibility benchmarks, ensuring athletes are positioned for success both on and off the field.
Complex and often misunderstood topics are simplified, including scholarships, NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness), revenue sharing, official and unofficial visits, and the critical difference between committable and non-committable offers. Attendees will also gain insight into who college coaches communicate with during the recruiting process and what information they are actively gathering when evaluating prospects.
This seminar delivers more than information. It provides a strategic roadmap, empowering parents, athletes, and coaches with the knowledge needed to make informed decisions, avoid common pitfalls, and maximize recruiting opportunities.
Seminar is available in person or via Zoom.
